The First Generation (F1) Goldendoodle

F1…..The First Generation (F1) Goldendoodle is the result of a Poodle crossed with an English Golden Retriever. These Goldendoodle Puppies are 50% English Golden Retriever & 50% Poodle. F1 Goldendoodles are compatible for most families with MILD allergies. My kids that are allergic to dogs can tolerate the F1 Generation, but everyone is different. I'd suggest a T-shirt test for anyone with dog allergies that wants an F1 Goldendo

The backcross (F1B) Goldendoodle

F1B…..The backcross (F1B) Goldendoodle is produced by crossing an F1 Goldendoodle with a Poodle (non-related of course). F1B Goldendoodles will have a higher success rate for non-shedding and are recommended for families with moderate to severe allergies. The F1B Goldendoodle is 75% Poodle which makes this generation one the most hypo-allergenic of all the Goldendoodle generations we breed.

F1BB Goldendoodle

F1BB….This generation is produced when you breed a F1B to a Poodle. This generation are more poodle than Golden Retriever.

The backcross (F2/F2B) Goldendoodle

F2 or F2B The second generation Goldendoodle (F2 or F2B) is produced by crossing the (F1 X F1 = F2) Goldendoodle or a (F1B X F1 = F2B) Goldendoodle. The Second Generation backcross Goldendoodle (F2B) is produced by crossing an F1 Goldendoodle with an F1B Goldendoodle or by crossing an F2 Goldendoodle back to a Poodle.

A Muti-Gen Goldendoodle

Two Goldendoodle parents – One parent has to be an F1B or multigen. A Poodle bred to a multigen Goldendoodle also constitutes a multigen.
